Silverstone – the Pit Lane is coming!

This week we  got the  remaining panels for the new Pit Lane cut to our design and here are some pictures.

The new panels incorporate a double pit Lane Pit box section with room for Pit Lane sensors near the beginning and the end.  The panels also have a channel for the Pit walls and some shallow routed areas for gravel traps as well as carefully positioned holes for tyre walls, concrete wall and fence posts etc.

We now need to create a kind of ‘cut and paste’ track section for the Pit Lane exit and to ‘decorate’ the panels but that will be the fun bit.  All this is possible because of our tie up with AES of Stratford upon Avon and their clever robot cutter Robbie.

We will give further updates as we progress as well as other examples of

what we are now doing in the way of creating really high quality scenic tracks.
