After today it is just Wednesday, Thursday and Friday and you can get into the British Motor Museum to see all the slot car related goodies that will be packed into the upper gallery – as well as the great collection of real cars that the Museum houses.
As it is now that close we needed to be very close to completing our big track so today we have got the final panel of the 19 almost over the line. Only the last pieces of fencing still remain to be done and they can be done tomorrow morning. Today we decided on the advert board line, added the last grass (and sprayed it with a mix of glue and water to stop it shedding), prepared, painted and fitted some Armco and even had time for some detailing: sponsor logos on the grandstands, cones, and a Camera Tower frame ready to film the action come the weekend. We want to do some more of that but really need to get it all set now because we have to have a practice at laying it all out on Thursday. Then it will need to be carefully packed up to take it to the show on Friday afternoon!!!
