So from 50 days to go we are now down to 40! Why all the fuss? Because if you are remotely interested in Scalextric or Slot cars in general, or if you are just into ‘big boys toys’ of any kind, the UK Slotcar Festival is an event not to be missed! So Saturday 14th and/or Sunday 15th May are the dates to get in your diary at the British Motor Museum at Gaydon in Warwickshire (easy access from the M40).
All sorts of tracks, manufacturers and traders will be there. So much fun to be had and so many opportunities to buy. And then there is our Slot Track Scenics “Slot Festival project”! So far (see yesterday’s Post) we have seen one MDF panel cut by Robbie the Robot of AES in Stratford upon Avon and decorated by us. However, in that Post it was looking very realistic but rather lonely. So today we can reveal what else Robbie has been up to. And here it is . . . .
Yes! Lots of other similar panels! But they are all straight. Can Robbie only cut straights? Or is our project a huge and very pleasantly decorated drag strip?? Come back tomorrow for more news.
