We think that Scalextric enthusiasts and slot-car fans in general build one of three types of circuits: permanent, semi-permanent or temporary. Where do you find yourself? Permanent circuits

Some people have the space, the skills and the time to make a permanent circuit and to landscape
it like a model railway. Some of these are fantastic and must be brilliant to drive almost like driving the real thing. The picture on the left is of a circuit made by Michael from the north west of the UK.
Semi-permanent circuits
Some people prefer to build what we call semi-permanent circuits. Such slot-car fans may have very understanding wives/partners and may be able to leave a circuit up in the dining room (lounge, etc.?) for anything from a week or so to a few months, or it may be that they have a permanently available space but prefer to change their circuit from time to time to support different types of racing and so choose not to make a permanent circuit.
Temporary circuits
Finally, for reasons of space mostly, some enthusiasts have to put their circuit up and take it down again in a day, or at most two or three days. These can be called temporary circuits. Even these can be made to look more realistic quite quickly and can be a lot of fun.
