These are available in four versions according to different practice on racing circuits around the world. The first 2 are on stanchions; the others are ground based.
Each pack contains:
- 10 stanchions, and 10 panels for the number to be stuck on. These have adhesive on them already with a paper covering;
- 1 sheet with 6 each of the 7 different numbers you can choose from. All you have to do is cut out the ones you want and stick them on by peeling off the paper covering on the panel.
To fit them you might want some of our Fixing Clips (for plastic track or wood) or if you have a wooden track or border you could just drill holes for them. Normally they are placed on the racing line’ – the outside of the bend – as you approach it.
Mostly the panels and the numbers are horizontal. This is the normal way for most circuits which have these markers and so this is the way of our BP1 packs.
At a few circuits (e.g. Indianapolis) the panels and the numbers are vertical. We have therefore made these available too in our BP2 packs. Otherwise everything is the same.
(Tip: If you want to give the stanchions a more metallic look you can give them a coat of a metallic paint e.g Humbrol 53. To help it stay on longer wipe the stanchions over with a sponge with a little washing up liquid and rinse/dry them off and/or give them a rub over with fine sandpaper.)
Once again they can be combined with other products such as our Direction markers and Advertising boards 1.
